Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account and associated data for OK or NOK, the party game published by Made by ACG for iOS and Android. OK or NOK uses one account across both platforms, so deleting it removes it everywhere.

Last Updated: July 29, 2026

1. Delete it in the app (fastest)

If you can still sign in, this is the quickest route. It runs immediately and needs no email exchange:

  1. Open OK or NOK and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab, then Settings.
  3. Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the summary, tap Continue, then type DELETE to confirm.

Deletion runs while you wait, and you are signed out as soon as it finishes. If anything goes wrong, the app tells you plainly that your account was not deleted, so you never have to guess.

2. Request it by email

Use this route if you have deleted the app, lost access to your device, or can no longer sign in. Account deletion in the app requires a valid session, so we handle these requests manually.

Email your request
Send it from the email address on the account — that is how we match the request to the right account.
[email protected] →

Please include:

  • The email address on the account. If you signed in with Apple and use a private relay address (@privaterelay.appleid.com), send the request from that relay address or tell us what it is — that is the address we hold.
  • Which sign-in method you used — email and password, Apple, or Google.
  • The word “delete” somewhere in the message, so we do not mistake a question for a request.

We reply only to the address on the account, and we will never ask you for your password, a payment card, or an ID document. If we cannot match your request to an account, we will say so rather than delete something at random.

Response time: we aim to acknowledge within 3 business days and to complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming the account is yours.

3. What gets deleted

Both routes run the same server-side deletion. It is a hard delete, not a flag or a hidden archive:

  • Your login record — email address, password credential, and the link to your Apple or Google sign-in.
  • Your profile — display name, avatar emoji and colour, avatar URL, language preference, push notification token, and your premium status flags.
  • Your avatar image, removed from file storage.
  • Your player entries in game rooms — the nickname, avatar, and presence rows other players saw during a game.
  • Game rooms you hosted, and with them — by database cascade — the rounds inside those rooms and every vote cast in them, including other players' votes.
  • Your saved game summaries — deck, mode, player count, round count, and the aggregate stats behind your share cards.

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. There is no restore, no grace period, and no way for us to recover the account afterwards. You can sign up again with the same email address, but it will be an empty new account.

4. What is not deleted, and why

We would rather tell you exactly what survives than claim a clean sweep we do not perform.

  • Abuse reports involving you — both the reports you filed and any filed about you. Each one keeps the room code, the reason, the nickname that was reported, and the account ids on both sides. This is deliberate. If deleting an account also deleted the reports about it, anyone could harass a room and then erase the record on their way out — a moderation record that vanishes on request is not a record. Deleting reports you filed would be no better: it would quietly gut open cases about people who are still here. Once your account is gone the ids in the report point at nothing, so what remains is an account-less note about something that happened in a room. No one using the app can read these — the app can only file a report, never read back anyone else's, and no one can edit or delete one. Reports are deleted automatically 12 months after they are filed.
  • Votes you cast in rooms hosted by someone else. A vote is stored against a per-room player entry, not against your account. Your player entry is deleted, so the vote is no longer linked to you or to any existing player record — it is a bare yes/no answer pointing at a row that no longer exists. The vote itself is removed when the room it belongs to is deleted.
  • Real-time game events. The short-lived messages that keep a live room in sync carry a room id, an event type, and a small payload — never your account id. A scheduled cleanup job deletes every one of them after one hour, regardless of account deletion.
  • Crash diagnostics. Crash reports go to our self-hosted error tracker with your email address and IP address stripped out before they are sent. The account id stays attached, and after deletion there is no account left for it to point to. These reports are purged after 90 days (see our Privacy Policy).
  • Purchase and subscription records. These are held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat — not by us. They are retained under those companies' own policies and legal obligations, and we cannot delete them on your behalf. See section 5.

5. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so they keep renewing after the account is gone. Cancel first, then delete.

  • iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > OK or NOK > Cancel Subscription
  • Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > OK or NOK > Cancel Subscription

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (play.google.com) under their own policies — we cannot process them directly.
